What can happen when we invest in each other?

We talk, and I have shared a lot, about the investment in time and energy and the return on that investment with CREW. Part of what is so exciting about this organization, to me, is the investment we make in each other. At the midpoint of 2018 I am thrilled to share some exciting announcements and investments that we have made in our members, and our community.

CREW Detroit invests in CREW Network Foundation: Completes all 3 Chapter Challenges

Established in 1998, CREW Network Foundation is the only organization dedicating its resources solely towards transforming the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally. Each year we ask our chapter to complete three challenges that directly support Foundation.

  • A CREW Detroit Chapter donation of at least $1,000
  • 100% of the Chapter Board giving an individual donation
  • 50% of the Chapter Membership giving an individual donation

This generosity of our donors enables us to advance the work of foundation and strengthen the pipeline of women in commercial real estate. Through outreach, research and scholarships these donations directly impact our purpose and mission.

It is also exciting to note that Augusta Gudeman, a University of Michigan student, and UCREW participant, was awarded one of Foundation’s scholarships. Each scholar will receive $5,000 USD for tuition and books, a paid internship opportunity in the summer of 2019, a complimentary CREW Network at-large student membership, and a complimentary registration to the 2018 CREW Network Convention and Marketplace.

I would also like to thank Beth Vance, CREW Detroit 2018 Chapter Champion, for spearheading this important initiative and making us the 21st chapter to meet this year’s goal.

CREW Detroit invests in our Membership: 10 Scholarships provided for Convention

2018 CREW Network ConvetionAs part of our continued initiative to provide outstanding value to our members, the CREW Detroit Board of Directors is excited to share that ten scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each were awarded to our members to attend convention.
